Blue liquor that burns your throat. Sip it slow, or drink it fast, but die with me...
Other glasses: Colour me Beautiful , Play with Colours CommentsLittle trivia: that is my hand in the photograph. it was a bitch holding the glass, not spilling it and pressing the shutter. Early in the morning too. God, whine, whine, whine. Ok, time to start studying for my photography exam tomorrow. Last year's was rape...
-- The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle. (Anais Nin) |

Critiques
A cocktail glass the way a cocktail dress should be.
At first glance, the photo is clean, clinical and elegant.
On second glance, the hand looks tempted, carefully touching the glass.
on the third glance, the careful lighting of the background shows up, together with its 'reflection' in the glass' stem.
After a while, the attention drifts to the glass tabletop with matching blue color.
And that one finger that has claimed the glass for its own.
No matter what your favrite shade of blue may be, they are all in there.
"I can resist everything except temptation" -- Oscar wilde
First of all, the setting is perfect for this photo and concept. The range of colors, their gradient are flawless, as they emphasize the composition which, by the way, is a very balanced one, with absolutely no disturbances. Even the glass shape has its meaning in this photo: a tempting wine glass, with a tempting substance, that might be just lethal, but nonetheless, so very tempting. It was a wise decision not to enlighten the hand of the model, for the glass has the main importance here, and the viewer shouldn't be distracted by anything else.
The metaphor is even more obvious when you read the title, and this whole concept couldn't have been done better.
So, miss =WildRainOfIceAndFire proves to us that she can make a different type of photography, besides her portraits. That's a big plus and a fulfillment for the artist.
